1. Prepare the fillings: cut pepperoni into smaller pieces, thinly slice the jalapeño, and grate the cheese. 2. To make the sauce, pour a can of whole peeled tomatoes into a saucepan and break them up using kitchen shears. Add minced garlic, and season with salt and black pepper. Stir to combine. 3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle. 4. Using a pizza cutter, divide the dough into four equal rectangular pieces. 5. Spoon the tomato sauce onto one half of each dough piece, leaving a border around the edges. 6. Top the sauce with pepperoni, jalapeño slices, and grated mozzarella cheese. 7. Fold the other half of the dough over the filling to create a pocket. Press the edges to seal. 8. Crimp the edges of each pocket securely with a fork. 9. In a small bowl, whisk an egg to create an egg wash. 10. Brush the tops of the pizza pockets with the egg wash. 11. Sprinkle the pockets with red pepper flakes and dried oregano for extra flavor. 12. Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown and cooked through. 13. Once baked, remove from the oven, let cool slightly, slice in half, and serve warm.
